Local Automation & Next Action

Practical workflow

Repeat decisions without hiding them

Example

A template can safely carry stable planning defaults such as target PPI, standard bleed or a normal starting quantity. It should not copy evidence that belongs to a specific artwork revision, such as a passed preflight or a client approval. Those checks must be earned again on the new job.

Interpretation

The next-action rule engine follows a conservative sequence. It first looks for a job record, then technical preflight, supplier evidence, release evidence and the final readiness audit. The recommendation is a link to the missing work, not an invisible background action that changes data without review.

Boundary

Cloning a job is most useful for repeat products. Keep the reusable specification and production structure, then create a fresh revision trail for the new artwork, quantity and deadline so historical evidence cannot leak into the new order.

Why this module exists

Production context around the calculation.

Automation here means repeatability

Rules run in the browser when you open the tool. There is no hidden background worker contacting suppliers or changing production records.

Templates reduce re-entry

Safe reusable assumptions can be copied while job-specific evidence remains subject to review.

Next action is explainable

Recommendations come from explicit missing or blocked signals and always link back to the tool that can resolve them.
