Contact sheets are most valuable when they make a group of images discussable: every thumbnail has a position, filename and optional technical label.
When dozens of files are sent as separate attachments, feedback such as “use the second warm image” is ambiguous. A numbered contact sheet lets a client, collaborator or printer refer to a stable sequence while still seeing filenames and pixel dimensions.
Choose a grid dense enough to compare the set but large enough to judge the visual distinction that matters. Fewer cells per page are better when crop, expression or fine detail needs review.
The Print / Save PDF button uses the browser's printing system. It is suitable for a visual review document, not for certifying press color. Browser color management, PDF generation, display calibration, printer profiles, paper and ink all affect appearance.
For color-critical work, use the provider's proofing method or a controlled color-managed workflow. The proof sheet can still accompany that process as the file-identification layer.
The page creates temporary browser object URLs for thumbnail display. Those URLs exist only in the local browser session and are revoked when the list is cleared or the page closes. Saving a PDF happens through the browser print dialog.
If the review document contains confidential imagery, remember that the PDF you save is a new file under your control. Store or share that exported proof with appropriate care.
