FILE INSPECTION

Check the PDF you will send to print.

Choose a PDF to inspect its real pages and image placements. Everything stays in this browser.

PDF · up to 40 MB · up to 100 pages · no password-protected files
Quick answer

Read the actual PDF, then compare every page with the printer's required trim size, bleed and image PPI. A missing explicit TrimBox or BleedBox needs review even when the PDF looks correct on screen.

mm = PDF units × UserUnit × 25.4 ÷ 72
When to use this tool

Use it for a specific print decision.

  • Inspect the final exported PDF rather than relying on settings in the design document.
  • Find mixed page sizes in a multi-page document and check each page's rotation and intended trim.
  • Compare bleed and image-placement density with the printer's specification, then attach the local report to your handoff notes.
How to use it

A result you can reproduce.

  1. Choose an unlocked PDF up to 40 MB and 100 pages. The file remains inside the browser.
  2. Enter the printer's required bleed, image PPI and optional trim dimensions. Check each page in the selector and all-pages table.
  3. Review missing boxes, size mismatches and low-density image placements. Download the report and confirm the remaining production checks with your printer.

Every result is calculated in the page from the displayed inputs. Your printer's written production specification remains the final authority.

Worked example · quick scenario

See the basic numbers in context.

An A4 flyer with a 210 × 297 mm TrimBox and a centred 216 × 303 mm BleedBox has 3 mm of geometric bleed on every edge. A 1200-pixel image placed 4 inches wide has 300 PPI; placing it 8 inches wide lowers that axis to 150 PPI.
