Assemble job geometry, file status, finishing, quantity and deadline while keeping internal margins private.
A provider can only quote consistently when the technical request is consistent. Include finished size, quantity, required bleed, file format, finishing, material expectation and deadline so two providers are responding to the same job definition.
If information is unknown, say it is unknown. A provider can then flag the requirement or propose an option instead of silently assuming a process that makes the quote look cheaper or faster than a competing quote.
Keep customer selling price and internal markup out of the technical handoff. The provider needs production facts and commercial terms relevant to the purchase, not the reseller or studio margin.
A useful request includes trim, quantity, file format, bleed, finishing and deadline instead of asking for a vague “best price.”
The handoff calls out missing production information so a quote is not compared on mismatched assumptions.
Customer price and internal margin are deliberately not part of the provider packet.
