Measure the outer frame
Use the finished frame or display dimensions that physically occupy the wall, including any frame border.
Set the wall, outer frame size, rows, columns and spacing. See whether the arrangement fits, how much margin remains when centered, and the center coordinates of every frame.
This version plans equal-size rectangular frames in a regular grid. Mixed gallery walls and diagonal arrangements need manual composition or dedicated layout software.

The center coordinates locate the frame rectangle. Wire, D-rings, cleats and hooks can require a separate vertical offset.
A grid that mathematically fits can still be visually too high, low or close to furniture. Treat the wall rectangle as a planning boundary.
Electrical points, switches, uneven ceilings and moulding are not represented in the rectangular preview.
