FOLD PANEL PLANNER

Make the panels fit
the fold, not the guess.

Model panel widths before artwork is locked. Roll-fold mode supports an explicit narrower tuck panel, while accordion and half folds preserve equal divisions when that matches the provider specification.

Choose the fold model

roll fold: tuck = width ÷ 3 − compensation; remaining two panels split the rest
accordion: 3 equal panels · half fold: 2 equal panels

MODEL

Enter the flat geometry.

Panel order depends on fold direction and artwork side; the tool reports widths, not imposed page order.

Fold discipline

Equal thirds are not always the right roll-fold artwork.

The tuck panel can be narrower

Roll folds may need a narrower panel so the inner panel nests without buckling. Enter the compensation required by the printer, stock thickness and folding process instead of relying on the default example.

Z folds behave differently

An accordion or Z fold can use equal panels when the production specification permits it because panels alternate direction rather than nesting inside each other.

Geometry is not page order

Which artwork belongs on each panel depends on front/back orientation and fold direction. Use the provider template or physical dummy before final export.
