Reservations subtract first
Stock committed to another job is not available to this one even if it remains physically present. Confirmed incoming can be included, but only when you are willing to schedule against it.
Separate physical stock from reservations, confirmed incoming and protected safety stock. The planner shows whether the current job is covered and what inventory position remains after production.
Safety stock is protected before additional coverage is counted.
Stock committed to another job is not available to this one even if it remains physically present. Confirmed incoming can be included, but only when you are willing to schedule against it.
The planner protects the entered safety quantity before reporting repeat-job coverage. That reserve can represent damage, color matching, spoilage or continuity requirements.
Falling below the reorder point does not mean the current job fails. It means the post-job inventory position crossed the threshold you chose for replenishment.
