Approval time is real time
A four-hour proof stage may be mostly waiting, but it still consumes schedule. Keep elapsed waiting separate from machine utilization when a more detailed production calendar is required.
Model the elapsed time between file readiness and delivery, expose the latest safe start and show whether the current moment is already inside the required production window.
latest start = due timestamp − sum(stage hours + contingency)
The model uses elapsed hours; working-hours/day is reported as an equivalent workload, not a hidden calendar.
The stage list will schedule backward from delivery.
A four-hour proof stage may be mostly waiting, but it still consumes schedule. Keep elapsed waiting separate from machine utilization when a more detailed production calendar is required.
The timeline includes handoff or transit because the customer deadline includes it. Capacity Planner separately models whether the production stage itself can fit the available machine window.
A revised quantity, finishing method or approval round can move the latest start. Save the timeline signal only after the duration assumptions match the current job.
