Why does an 8 × 10 crop a 4 × 6 photo?

A 4 × 6 photo has a 2:3 ratio, while an 8 × 10 print has a 4:5 ratio. Filling the 8 × 10 frame therefore removes part of the longer edge.

Can I avoid cropping?

Yes—choose a print with the same ratio, add borders, or fit the full image inside the paper instead of filling it edge to edge.

Does the uploaded image leave my browser?

No. The preview uses a temporary local browser URL. Print Prep Lab does not upload or store the selected image.
